Hereβs the thing. I have been a corporate trainer and facilitator now for 20+ years (yes, yes, I know you are wondering how I was possibly doing that at the ripe old age of 12! LOL)
Fair to say, I was pretty happy and proud of the feedback I was getting as a trainer and facilitator! So when we moved to virtual training, whilst excited, I have to admit, I was also a little apprehensive. Surprisingly the experience was nothing but awesome!
Time to shake off the year that's been!
Many of us were waiting for the clocks to tick over on midnight 31.12.2020. We were well and truly ready to say goodbye, adios, arrivederci, sayonara, au revoir and quite frankly, good riddens, to 2020! A year none of us will ever forget. The craziness just kept coming.
2020: the year we'll never ever forget!
And a year most of us are well and truly ready to see the back of. I received a Chrissy card from an old friend from NZ saying β2020, the less said the better!β so, with that in mind, my final thoughts are this.
Amplify your Appreciation!
Research shows us that giving thanks, appreciation or practising gratitude for the positive aspects of our lives can, among other things, help you exercise more, sleep better and be happier. Yes, happier, who could do with a sprinkling of a little more happiness at the moment! And when shown in the workplace increases employee engagement and performance.

When we are mentally fatigued our brain tends to take short-cuts to preserve energy. One, it acts impulsively, or two, all too hard basket - complete avoidance. We need to intentionally factor in activities in our day to reduce the impact of mental fatigue, be kind to our brain to avoid burnout!
